Hello, everyone!
If you’ve been following my journey for a while, you know that my camera has been my faithful companion on countless adventures. Through its lens, I’ve connected with you all, sharing fragments of the beauty, complexity, and diversity I’ve found in our natural world.
My passion for wildlife photography has brought us together. But I want to let you in on a secret: it’s not the act of capturing these images that drives me anymore, but the thrill of discovery, the deepening respect for nature, and the meaningful connections I’ve developed with the many creatures I’ve encountered.
As my relationship with the natural world evolves, so too does the story I want to share. More than a wildlife photographer, I see myself as a wildlife explorer, an advocate for these wonderful beings whose world intertwines with ours in the most profound ways.
In this new chapter, I will focus less on the art of photography (though you can still expect plenty of shots from my adventures!) and more on the process of discovery and connection. I want to bring you along as I delve deeper into the wild, uncovering the secrets of bird behaviour, deciphering the tell-tale signs of mammals in the undergrowth, and tracing the delicate web of life that sustains us all.
The website will be transformed to mirror this new focus. The categories will be centered around ‘Wildlife Discovery’, ‘Nature Trails’, ‘Conservation Conversations’, and ‘Field Notes’, which will house my personal reflections and stories. The goal is to create a space that’s not just about looking, but also about understanding and appreciating the beautiful intricacy of nature.
I truly believe that the more we understand, the more we can do to protect and respect our natural world. Through this new journey, I hope to inspire you to fall in love with wildlife just as I have, to see the profound worth in every creature, and to appreciate the preciousness of the world we share.
Thank you for joining me in this next step of my journey. Your support means the world to me, and I am excited to explore the wild with you.
Until the next adventure, Scott
